Key Features
Program Description:
The workshop has been designed to review basic principles important for electrophysiologists such as anatomy, electrophysiologic study, ECG analysis, imaging, etc. As a part of this tutorial, practical aspects of conventional catheter ablation (e.g. atrial flutter, AV nodal reentry, and/or accessory pathways) will be discussed and demonstrated. The other part of the workshop will be focused on sophisticated techniques for ablation of atrial fibrillation such as stereotactic magnetic navigation, robotic navigation, etc.
Educational Objectives:
After completion of the workshop, the participants should:
- Appreciate cardiac anatomy relevant to elektrophysiologist
- Be familiar with principles of electrophysiological study and ECG diagnostics of arrhythmias
- Learn positives and negatives of different mapping systems and advantage of intracardiac echocardiography
- Refresh the principles and strategies used for catheter ablation of conventional arrhythmia substrates
- Be aware of the two different remote control systems and/or simplified ablation tools and their importance for ablation of atrial fibrillation
