WELCOME ADDRESS
Dear Colleague,
together with Professor Petr Neužil, we are pleased to invite you to the 18th edition of the Prague Workshop on Catheter Ablation with Live Demonstrations.
For this event we have prepared several important innovations. First, encouraged by growing number of participants in recent years, we decided to change the venue of the workshop. Very modern congress center of the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences that is located about one kilometer away from IKEM will serve the purpose. The congress hall has a seating capacity of 300 and a very pleasant environment. Second, we offer a unique opportunity to watch a 3D presentation of anatomy of the heart. This breathtaking show will be provided by Professor Joris Ector from Leuven. Third, in order to show even more novel technologies and strategies, we will introduce an additional live transmission from Heart Center in Leipzig. Fourth, the last half day of the workshop will be dedicated to tutorial of conventional ablations for less experienced attendees.
Like in previous years, we have again invited an outstanding international Faculty that will present a series of educational review lectures on different aspects of arrhythmia management and on strategies of catheter ablation. We believe that thirteen live case demonstrations from five EP labs will satisfy all participants.

- Expert review lectures
- A 3D journey through the heart based on 3D CT imaging
- Demonstration of novel technologies for mapping and catheter ablation (Rhythmia mapping system, FIRM mapping, GP imaging and ablation, MRI integration and VT ablation, use of ICE for VT ablation in structural heart disease, etc)
- Live cases from state-of-the-art EP labs in IKEM and Homolka Hospital and from Heart Center in Leipzig
