12th Prague Workshop on Catheter Ablation
with Live Demonstrations

in association with Homolka Hospital, Prague
under the auspices of the Czech Society of Cardiology and its Working Group on Arrhythmias and Cardiac Pacing
WELCOME ADDRESS
Dear Colleague,
Welcome to the 12th traditional international Prague workshop on catheter ablation with live demonstrations. This year, we entered the second decade of organizing these meetings. Advocated initially as an educational symposium for Czech physicians, it has gradually transformed into a special international meeting of physicians interested in catheter ablations.
Reflecting recent development in the field of catheter ablations, we plan to demonstrate several techniques of catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. Four live cases of ablation of atrial fibrillation will be traditionally accompanied by the review lectures. However, for less experienced electrophysiologists, we review again anatomy of the heart, basics of an electrophysiologic study and heart imaging. This tutorial will be followed by live cases of catheter ablation of „conventional“ arrhythmia substrates.
As in previous years, company-sponsored lectures on technical advances in mapping and/or catheter ablation, and interesting case reports or the results of your studies will be appreciated. As usually, the scientific programme will be followed by a reception that will take place in a special area of our beautiful city.
We hope that you will find the workshop interesting and look forward to meeting you in Prague.
